In-room trading will start as early as Wednesday and often goes into the early hours of the following morning. It is not uncommon for over 50 rooms to be open and available for in-room buying/trading/selling. If the door is open, simply walk right in!
Antique handmade and machine-made marbles will be on display including examples from Akro Agate, Alley Agate, Christensen Agate, M.F. Christensen, Marble King, Master, Peltier, Vitro Agate and many others. In addition to antique marbles, exhibitors will also be displaying many antique marble related items such as original packaging, marble bags, marble toys/games, marble tournament medals/pinbacks, and many marble advertising items, etc.
Holding a marble show in Iowa the first Saturday in June is a long standing tradition that began with a small group of marble collectors gathering in the back of a Davenport bail bondsman’s office during the summer of 1977. Although the location has now moved to Des Moines, the tradition continues as the show is still very much alive and well!
If you have antique marbles or marble related items, feel free to bring them in for FREE identification and appraisals.
We hope to see you there!
